Nominated the strongest chili pepper in the world in 2011!
Of course, holding the title of "the hottest pepper in the world" is often an ephemeral thing. The Carolina Reaper dethrones it in 2013 with nearly 2,000,000 on the Scoville scale, but the legend of this variety, for its history and origin is still highly sought after by collectors for its explosive heat, fruity flavor and scorpion tail-like appearance.
This variety is a derivative of the famous Trinidad Scorpion endemic to the island of Trinidad and Tobago. The seeds of this strain will give perfectly shaped peppers with a characteristic tail. It is named in honor of its creator, Mr Butch Taylor.
You can always search, but you will not find such beautiful elsewhere!
